This The Leadership Academy is an initiative for a multi-faceted and generational change leadership training and mentoring programme intended to promote more pluralistic, representative and accountable governance in Uganda. The leadership Academy is a non-academic but certified programme with a wide range of leadership/political training programmes to young people in their diversities. The program will be delivered by a combination of academics, political leaders, civil society actors and persons from the formal and informal sector.
Orientation and self leadership training from 7th July 2017-10th July 2017 at Namugongo Kyoto.
This training was packaged with a set of topics with support from Democratic Governance Facility-DGF and was facilitated by Helena Okiring, Francis Gimara and Norah Bwaya.
Some of the topics that were discussed were;
No excuse based model of leadership
Self leadership and the art of self leadership
Personal examination of youth personal leadership
Role of mentorship and journaling in making effective leaders
